President's Circle Award
($1,000.00)

One award in the amount of $1000.00 will be given to a deserving developmental student each year at FDEA's annual conference. Applications may be submitted each year from January 1 until June 1, and the award will be presented at the annual FDEA conference. The following criteria must be met by each applicant.

 
  1. Must have completed one semester of classes at a college with an institutional membership and must be currently enrolled.
  2. Must have completed at least one developmental class.
  3. Must submit this President's Circle Award application and essay, as described below.
  4. Must submit a current transcript.
  5. Must submit a letter of recommendation from a developmental instructor.
  6. Must submit a photograph, or digital picture in JPG format, and release form.

Write a short essay (300-500 words) explaining why you chose to attend community college and how developmental classes have helped you.
This should be in a Word® document, size 12 font.
